BCA Float 32 Avalanche Airbag

The BCA Float 32 Avalanche Airbag is a fully featured backpack that uses BCA's Float 2.0 compressed air cylinder technology. If you are looking for an everyday touring pack with the added safety functionality of an avalanche airbag, the Float 32 is a reliable option that comes in at a reasonable price. The Float 2.0 system features a lighter and more compact engine that allows the system a 30% smaller compressed air cylinder. With the more efficient Float 2.0 system: the cylinder, engine, and airbag all fit in the same compartment - reducing weight and increasing internal space in the pack. That's a win-win if you ask me!

Aside from BCA's modern airbag system, the Float 32 is packed full of helpful design features to make the backpack more user-friendly. The pack is BCA radio compatible, hydration compatible, and can accommodate either diagonal ski carry or vertical snowboard carry. A height-adjustable waist belt and molded back panel help the pack carry heavy loads and fit to your body while skiing downhill. An internal companion rescue equipment pocket, internal ice tool carry, fleece-lined goggle pocket, hip belt pocket, and external helmet carry system all work together to help keep your kit organized inside and out. The pack totals to an overall weight of 3,043 grams with a 32-liter carrying capacity. A reasonable addition of weight for the added level of safety while traveling in avalanche terrain.

The BCA Float 32 is a great piece of avalanche safety equipment that is more affordable than comparable airbag backpacks. Consider purchasing an airbag if you regularly travel in the backcountry, and specifically this pack if you value organization and durable pack construction.
