Description

Black Crows began in Chamonix with the design of the Corvus shape. A ski meant for charging big mountain conditions that blended modern shaping techniques with what works from skiing's history. The Corvus Freebird is the touring friendly grandchild of that ski- light enough for the up with real downhill freeride charging power.

The Corvus Freebird is meant to ski powder at speed with large rockered tip, camber through out the mid section, and a lightly rockered tail. We also really like the amount of taper from tip to tail which makes the ski plane and pivot better in soft snow. However, you don't ever get purely perfect pow in the alpine. Black Crows' Freebird construction has incredible dampness to weight qualities for when those fast pow turns encounter a little buried debris or frozen roller balls in the apron. These damp and solid qualities are the product of a Paulownia and Poplar core with carbon and glass fiber layers.

These pink machines are an awesome big mountain freeride ski for human powered missions. The Corvus Freebird would also be a great option for the skier that spends the majority of their time seeking out backcountry turns, but still rips an occasional resort powder day. Spend enough time on these, making the turns they are designed for in the right conditions, and you too will live "la vie en rose". Paired perfectly with Black Crow Climbing skins From Pomoca.
