Installing the tip clip is a pain. It’s near impossible to do by hand with the included hex key. Highly recommend a power drill to get the screws through the plastic housing and skin. I made the mistake of pre-drilling a hole through the skin — this compromised the integrity of the skin so that the threads of the screws didn’t bite into the skin enough.
On the plus side, the tip clip is bomber once installed! And it lets you cover more of your bases with the skin, as opposed to pre-cut lengths of skin which might leave a lot of your tail base exposed.
