Black Diamond Wired Hexentric

The Wired Hexentric from Black Diamond earns its place on trad racks because of what its geometry does that a cam or a passive nut can't: a subtly asymmetrical cross-section and slight end-wise taper create three distinct widths when rotated on its axis, plus a fourth end-wise placement option, covering more crack configurations per piece than any other single protection type. The 6061-T6 aluminum body is sold individually from size 1 through 11, with sizes 4 through 11 rated to 10 kN on swaged galvanized steel cables. Width coverage on sizes 4 through 10 runs from 0.81/1.10 inches up to 2.19/2.96 inches, filling the zone where passive nuts run out, and cams tend to walk in flared or constricted placements.
