The CAMP XLC 490 Universal Crampon is arguably the lightest 12-point strap-on crampon, and is ideal for general mountaineering and travel over glaciers. With the ability to fit just about every hiking and mountaineering boot, and secures soundly with dependable nylon straps and metal bucks matched with a thermoplastic heel and toe harness wrap. 

This aluminum crampon is sturdy but should not be used for ice climbing or burly mixed terrain. If you're seeking a crampon for telemark or alpine touring boots, use the XLC 390 AUTO.
