Description

Dynafit puts their light and fast imprint on the freeride day-touring pack with the FREE 30 and FREE 32, a pair of rugged gear haulers designed to carry everything you need for a day in the backcountry. This sleek, detailed package includes the usual features you expect, like two large separate compartments for avy gear and everything else, a helmet carry system, internal hydration compatibility, ice axe attachments and both diagonal and A-frame ski carry capabilities.

However, Dynafit goes above and beyond with several added features you might not find elsewhere: A waterproof internal pocket for your phone, a removable shoulder strap bottle holder for on-the-go hydration, a “safety box” compartment for crampons, padded compartments to keep your gear safe and a removable back insert that keeps you comfy when you want and lets you lighten up when you need. Outside mesh pockets stow gear you need to access easily, while an ergonomic cut and fully adjustable shoulder and chest straps allow you to dial in the fit to be as snug as you like. Dynafit’s highly durable Expedition fabric ties this pack together in an adventure-ready unit that will have your back for many seasons to come.

Great pack

I don’t like the buckles. Broke the one on the chest the first day I used it.

My new favorite

I have been through many packs for touring and the free32 is awesome. It's sleek enough, and big enough. Lots of fancy features but not gimmicks. The features work well and I'm getting a new rhythm with transitions and packing. The stock photos and description don't even tell you all the details. The top lid is a separate pocket, as is the bottom wet box crampon pocket. The only access to the middle main body pocket is through the back panel zipper. Which is a bit tight around the frame sheet. That tight zipper and the lack of hip pockets are my biggest drawbacks, but I'll be making my own pockets to add on.
