The new version of the Maxxis Forekaster is specifically designed for modern short-travel trail bikes with 100mm to 130mm of travel, often referred to as the “downcountry” segment. Launched in July 2022, this tire aims to be a “Goldilocks” option, offering a balance of speed and traction. It rolls faster than the Minion or Dissector, while providing more predictable cornering, climbing, and braking traction compared to the Aspen or Rekon.
