Plum Oazo 8 Ski Touring Binding (2022)

$490.00 USD

If you've skied a Plum binding before, then you're well aware of their reputation for durability. The Oazo is no exception as it features a simplistic yet proven toe design and an aluminum/steel construction. Weighing in at 200g this binding follows the industry trend of 'mountaineering' category bindings that are super lightweight, with more features for convenience.

The Oazo 8 has two riser heights that can be accessed without turning the heel, and a flat mode for those long approaches. Vertical release is fixed via a U-Spring at 8 for more aggressive skiers, and the lateral release is adjustable between 4-10.

For your spring missions, the Oazo features a removable ski crampon attachment, and when you want to swap between boots, the heel piece has 20mm of adjustment.

Check out the new Oazo 8 here.

Weight: 200g
Riser Heights: 0-41-52mm

Lightweight and bomber

The Plum Oazo made sense for me because I was focused on two things: lightweight and durable. At 200 grams, the Oazo is definitely light, and with aluminum and steel components, it's hard to see these breaking anytime soon. I ski plenty hard and fast, and so far these have held up really well. Another aspect I'm really liking are the climbing aids that flip over the heel U-spring. I don't use my flat mode much, so I usually don't have to rotate them and I can just use my pole basket to flip the climbing aids back and forth without having to reach down. Overall, stoked on these bindings for years to come!!!
