    Praise the fat footed boot

Lovely v shaped width that gives the metatarsals everything they need to feel comfy in a shorter boot. My splitboard friends definitely say this model is too stiff for splitboarding and to stick with the regular summit boot if you want it for splitboarding.

    Suprisingly Good Ski Performance

I've only skied the boots twice while uphilling inbounds but have been very surprised by their performance. These boots have a pretty wide toe box and also heat moldable shells which has made them work very well for my foot shape. They flexed very soft in the shop but were the only boots that didn't feel like I had a pressure point from the cuff overlap on my shin. They also have what feels like a normal cuff height. Heel hold is adequate but definitely not as locked in as a high performance resort boot. Great mobility while skinning and I haven't noticed any limitations to my ROM by having the primary velcro strap positioned for skiing and just having the buckle open. Transitions are simple and only involve flipping the main buckle and ski/walk mode (all in one motion) and slightly adjusting the BOA. I'm used to skiing a 130 flex 4-buckle overlap boot but was blown away with how well they skied groomers, small bumps, and soft chop.

    Punches above its weight

It’s early and I’ve not logged a ton of days yet, but I’m loving this boot. Feels like a 110 or 120 alpine boot. Very nice progressive flex that never felt like I hit a wall, even when carving on hard pack inbounds.
