A 115-82-99 mm shape at 171 cm on an 18.5 m radius keeps a long running length and a low-taper tail, so a narrow ski still has something to bite the frozen morning surface with. At 1,050 g per ski in a 171 the Voile Hyper Endeavor is the lightest smooth-based ski Voile builds, which puts it within reach of race weight while keeping a shape that can actually be skied.

Why We Like It
- At 950 g per ski in a 164 this is the lightest ski in Voile's line, and it gets there without dropping to the flat, tailless shapes that make a race ski unpleasant to descend on.
- A paulownia wood core under two Voile Carbon-Weave layers holds torsional stiffness in a narrow chassis, which is what stops a light 82 mm ski folding when it is loaded onto its edge.
- Voile keeps the Endeavor sidecut and Early Rise Camber intact, so a long running length and camber underfoot survive the weight cut rather than being traded away for it.
- Full-perimeter hardened steel edges and reinforced mounting areas are the parts that usually get thinned on a ski this light, and Voile leaves both in.

Only three lengths exist here, 164, 171 and 178 cm at 112-80-97 mm on an 18 m radius, 115-82-99 mm on 18.5 m and 117-84-102 mm on 19.5 m, weighing 950, 1,050 and 1,135 g per ski. The poplar Endeavor adds a 157 and a 184 at either end; if you need those, this build is not available to you. At these weights the longer length costs almost nothing on the climb and gives more edge on the descent, so most skiers should take the 171 or 178.
Voile builds the Hyper Series for AT bindings, and mounting telemark bindings or quiver killers on the Voile Hyper Endeavor voids the Voile factory warranty. Telemark and nordic setups need the poplar Voile Endeavor instead. Boot center is marked on the topsheet and charted by Voile for all three lengths, so no plate goes under the binding. Match binding to your boot sole norm, size brakes to the waist at your length from 80 mm at 164 cm to 84 mm at 178 cm, and use either Voile's dedicated 85 mm Hyper Glide skin or a 120 mm stock width cut down to the 97 to 102 mm tail. Ski crampons matter more on this ski than on anything else in the line.

Both Hyper Series skis on Early Rise Camber, 12 mm apart underfoot. The Voile HyperVector is 127-94-111 mm at 171 cm and 1,215 g per ski, wide enough to handle soft snow properly. The Voile Hyper Endeavor gives that up for 165 g per ski and is the better tool when the day is mostly climbing.
