    Tech Specs

Looking for a splitboard that can do it all? The Backwoods Carbon Splitboard boasts a versatile and lightweight design that is perfect for backcountry riders in Colorado. With its iconic tapered shape for float and agility, high tech lightweight core for snap and response, and rugged polyamide topsheet for added durability, this board is the ultimate performer. Whether you're shredding low angle pow in the trees or carving surfy turns in wide open bowls, the Backwoods is a top choice. The viking shield inspired graphic, with wood grain and bold angular lines, is both stylish and functional, helping you conquer any terrain. Plus, with a mid-stiff flex and our Directional Freeride camber-dominant profile, this board is nimble in trees, reliable on crud, and floaty in deep snow. And with features like a carbon fiber construction and a castor bean based, Rugged Nylon topsheet, this board is both lightweight and durable. So why settle for anything

The Weston Backwoods Carbon Splitboard is one of the best boards for weight-focused splitboarders who want maximum performance on the skin track and the downhill. Weston's unique shape makes this board excel uphill and downhill. Riders should consider the Backwoods Carbon if they want a featherweight volume shifted board that is easy to kick turn in the skin track, while still providing impressive float in deep snow and control on the steeps.

The shape of this board allows riders to size down without sacrificing nose width for float. The 10mm setback and tapered tail make this deck extremely easy to turn edge-to-edge. With total float, riders can focus on their freeride style. The Backwoods Carbon features a premium Electra P-tex 5920 Graphite base and a full carbon layup versus fiberglass.

Weston designed the gold standard of carbon splitboards that are still fun to ride. The sustainable paulownia/poplar wood core has aluminum stingers and bamboo inserts to maintain a poppy feel and stability when traversing to the next powder stash.

The elegant design of the Carbon Backwoods splitboard has riders trusting year after year and tour after tour. This year, the Phantom semi-active Hercules clips are new to the board to create the most responsive carbon board yet. These clips are lighter than Karakoram clips and feature fewer moving parts to ensure the splitboard is locked solid for the ride down.

    Lightweight and durable

Extremely lightweight. almost shocking the first time you pick it up. Pairs really well with a hard boot setup for even more weight savings. Ideal for long days, traverses, and expeditions where it really counts. Even on smaller days doing yoyo laps with the Savings you can find yourself sneaking in one extra lap!

the carbon construction provides a reliable and damp ride while not compromising strength for weight savings. Weston has outdone themselves with the Backwoods Carbon. Ive put a this bad boy to the test from Coast to coast from Mythic days in AK to bashing ice and rock in the East. I haven't found a day where I've been disappointed with my ride.

    Dependable All-Arounder

The Backwoods Carbon has been my daily driver splitboard for 3 years now. For me it has struck the perfect balance of strength and maneuverability. It's nimble enough for mid-winter Colorado tree skiing, but is reliable when it's time to get it into steep lines. Although I feel this board gets marketed as a pow board often, I've found it to be a solid, predictable, do-it all shape.

Best Splitboard for Long Mission's in the Backcountry

Each time I transition to uphill, I am reminded of this board's feather-like weight beneath my feet. For riders looking to tour in a variety of terrain - I can't recommend the Backwood's Carbon enough. I have used this for long-volcano descents, ridge traverses, tree skiing, powder laps, and all the in between.
